Does anyone have experience with sewing with material printed on the bias?
I am making nursery accessories (curtains, crib skirt, bumper pad) for my soon to be arriving grand-daughter.
The material was ordered online, and when we received it, I was amazed to see that it was off-grain. When we called, they said that all their material is printed at a 45 degree angle, and just to follow the pattern printed on the material.
I have been sewing all my life, and have never run into anything like this. Why would they print it that way?
This is going to be a more challenging project than I had anticipated. I think the crib skirt will look great cut on the bias, but the draperies and the bumper, I don’t know about.
